Dom Pachuilo is a veteran TEDxer at GCU. He started his freshman year as Director of Curation and worked his way to become the Licensee Holder for the event. He sticks around because it is his life passion to encourage, empower, and educate all he comes in contact through the power of storytelling. TEDxGrandCanyonUniversity does just that by providing real-world experience to students within their field of study and uncovering ideas the world needs to hear. After graduation, Dom plans to pursue a career focused on leadership coaching revolved around spiritual, family, and physical health.

Laura is junior at Grand Canyon University studying Business Management with a minor in Marketing and is set to graduate in December 2019. Laura serves as Vice President of Operations for TEDxGrandCanyonUniversity where she oversees the Directors of Event Planning, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to ensure the logistics of multiple events’ throughout the year are well coordinated. Last year she was a member of the Marketing Team for TEDx and grew a passion for collaborating with team members and seeing a year of hard work come to fruition. Laura is eager to take on new projects while actively taking time to travel, participate in intramural sports on campus, as well as intern as a Project Assistant in the Marketing Department for Grand Canyon Education. She is recognized for her ability to lead and inspire others through her passion for building a community with positivity and compassion. Laura embodies a friendly nature that is inviting to others in order to share new ideas and experiences.
Director of Finance
Steven Owens is a sophomore at GCU studying Business Entrepreneurship. Steven serves as a co-director of Finance. Steven worked as a videographer last year on the TEDx Team but has decided to pursue his interests on Business related subjects this year. Steven is also on the marketing team for Welcome Programs at GCU, and works with the startup company “Prophet Insight”. Steven’s love for entrepreneurship has lead him to many fun opportunities, and he is excited to apply his passion towards TEDx 2019
Damin is a senior at GCU studying Finance & Economics with a minor in Accounting. As the Director of Finance for TEDx, Damin is able to intertwine his passions for leadership, analysis, and professional growth. He has kept busy during his time at GCU, leading the Finance & Economics Club as the President, serving as a Resident Assistant, and being an active member of the Honors College.
Damin has gained invaluable real-world experience working for the GCU Office of Internships, interning at a CPA firm, and vitally contributing to the rapid growth of a new Real-Estate Investment & Hospitality Company here in the Valley. Damin is passionate about the positive impacts business can have on society and is excited to lead the Finance Team with determination and integrity.

Emma is a junior at Grand Canyon University majoring in Advertising and Graphic Design and is set to graduate spring of 2020. Emma is the Director of Design for TEDxGrandCanyonUniversity and is responsible for creating all design work. This is Emma’s second year on the TEDx team and she is eager to see what this year holds. She has been doing graphic design for over 5 years and has had the opportunity to intern at many different companies doing web design, logo creation, and much more. She is excited to be apart of the team again and to share her love for art and design.

Lana is studying Marketing with a minor in Business Management at Grand Canyon University, graduating Spring 2020. After attending the first TEDxGrandCanyonUniversity event, Lana was inspired to partner with her peers in creating an innovative and inspiring event. Sharpening her marketing skills, Lana is excited for her growing role as Director of Marketing. Also possessing a strong passion for encouraging others to love life, Lana is looking forward to partnering with the TEDxGrandCanyonUniversity team to engage the Phoenix community in sharing ideas that will empower the world to be a better place. While working for Dutch Brothers Coffee, Lana has been inspired by their servant leadership, marketing, and one-of-a-kind culture – attributes she hopes to mirror within her Marketing Team. She feels honored to be involved with an event that holds the potential to change lives, this community, and this world, for the greater good.

Ashley is a junior at Grand Canyon University, passionate about equipping others to pursue their God-given dreams and talents. She hopes to use her Marketing Degree and Graphic Design Minor to empower small businesses through the pursuit of effective marketing and efficient operations. She believes that a continued strive towards excellence is vital in every season of business and life. Ashley has developed a passion for leading others through her years of coordinating volunteer efforts within her church. Ashley is excited for the opportunity to partner with the TEDxGrandCanyonUniversity Team in cultivating an environment where student innovators of all levels of expertise inspire one another towards future greatness.
Julia Sena is an individual who strives to help others become the best version of themselves. Julia is studying Business Administration with a minor in Marketing set to graduate in the Spring of 2019. She is also a Student Leader on campus as a Resident Assistant and a Future Alumni Board Member.
Julia has a passion for community and investing in youth. She has had the opportunity to work as an intern for the Santa Fe Teen Court Program, a community-based invention program that grants first-time offenders get a second chance while being held accountable for their actions.
She has ambitions for personal growth and takes on any challenge that can lead her to new and diverse opportunities. Ultimately, Julia’s aspiration for her career is to balance Justice and Collaboration by working in Civil Litigation
